The Thoracic spine is made up of 12 individual vertebra. Rotational range of motion within this area is smaller compared to the rotation of the Lumbar spine and Cervical spine due to the ribs. It is important we continue mobility in this area especially for people who have to sit at a desk all day, spend a lot of time in the care, or labor intense job. Mobility of the Thoracic spine also helps us get those nice deep breaths so we can fill our lungs with oxygen. On all fours, reach one arm up towards the sky. Start by holding roughly 20 seconds and then switch to the other side. Try repeating this 2-3 more times per side each day. Breathe deep, friends!
